Majin Spike powering up his Final Impact

Atomic Blast (アトミックブラスト) is one of Vegeta`s and later one of Spike`s most powerful attacks in his Majin form. both Vegeta and Spike raise there index, middle finger, and thumb forward and fires a powerful bolt of energy at the opponent, inflicting a large amount of damage.

Majin Vegeta used this attack during his battle with Majin Buu. It blew a hole right through Majin Buu, but failed to inflict any lasting damage due to the pink monster's ability to regenerate. And much later Spike while in his Majin form used this attack on Janemba during there battle after he forcefully turned Spike into his Majin form again.

Video games[1]Edit[]

Atomic Blast is featured in various Dragon Ball Z video games as one of Majin Vegeta's signature attacks (the other being the Final Explosion). The name comes from the Budokai series. In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is called, "Final Impact" (ファイナルインパクト). It is also named, "Big Bang Flash" (ビッグバンフラッシュ) in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors and "Baryon Ray" (バリオンレイ) in Super Dragon Ball Z. It also appears in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, as one of Majin Vegeta's Super Attacks and retains the "Final Impact" name from the Budokai Tenkaichi series. It has a unique effect to it which differs from other beams. Normally when two beams collide, they casue a beam struggle. The unique affect to the Final Impact is the fact that if it collides with a beam, rather than causing a beam struggle it will just pierce straight through it and hit the opponent. It later makes its return in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, where it has experienced a change in its appearence. The beam is now much thinner than it was before.

Variation[2]Edit[]

  • Atomic Burst – Majin Vegeta fires an Atomic Blast that "bursts" into five bolts of energy. This is one of his attacks in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2.
  • Meteor Burst – There are two versions of this move in Supersonic Warriors 2. The first version is done by Vegeta in his base form and involves him firing a small pink ki wave, inflicting an average amount of damage. The second version is done by Majin Vegeta, but this time, the Meteor Burst becomes yellow with drastic range.

Trivia[3]Edit[]

  • In the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series, when Majin Vegeta performs the attack he yells "Nuisance!". However, in the anime he didn't say anything when he performed the attack.
